Title: Let The Word Speak

(S) cripture:
    Revelation 22:18-19 (NASB) I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

(O) bservation:
    We are to stay true to what the Word says. There are dire consequences to those who would add to or take away words in it.

(A) pplication:
    I need to be sure what I preach and teach is what God has revealed in His Word to us. I must not try to make it say what I want it to say but I must let it speak for itself. I must share this word with others and let them deal with it before God. Regardless of people’s opinion of me I must be true to God’s Word in my preaching and teaching.

(P) rayer:
    Lord, forgive me when I have added to your word or taken from it. Help me to be to it in the way I live and in what I preach and teach. Make me aware when I have tried to add or subtract something. I want to be true to you and your word so that my life and others might be transformed by it. Amen
