Title: Christmas Love

(S) cripture:
    1 John 4:9-10 (NASB) By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

(O) bservation:
    Today is Christmas Eve. What an appropriate scripture for us. Tonight, we will gather as a church, even in the pandemic, to celebrate and remember the truth that John is communicating here. God sent His Son into the world to save us and to pay the price for our sins. It is the way we best know and experience God’s love.

(A) pplication:
    Today I thank God for sending Jesus into the world so that I might really live through faith in Him. The only proper response is for me to reflect that love to others. Today I will point people to the Savior who was born and to the love that God revealed for us in that act.

(P) rayer:
    Father, thank you for the gift of your Son. Let my life reflect Your love as I really live through faith in your Son. Amen
