Title: Pride

(S) cripture:
    2 Chronicles 26:16 (NASB) But when he became strong, his heart was so proud that he acted corruptly, and he was unfaithful to the LORD his God, for he entered the temple of the LORD to burn incense on the altar of incense.

(O) bservation:
    Even those who follow God and have success can fall when they begin to think that their success is based on their own efforts. Uzziah had done some great things but died a leper because his pride turned him away from God.

(A) pplication:
    I have seen God do some great things in my life but I must guard against pride and trusting in my own abilities. It is easy to lose sight of who is in charge and try to take charge myself. My desire is to be faithful and to follow the Lord’s leading in my life.

(P) rayer:
    Lord I need your courage and grace to keep from pride. Let me always recognize your work and hand. Thank you for using me and continue to do so as I follow you. Amen
