Title: Words Are Not Enough
(S) cripture:
Matthew 7:21 (NASB77) ” Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven.
(O) bservation:
There are many who claim to be followers of Jesus but are not. They are doing some “Christian” things but have never committed their lives to following Jesus. Jesus is saying that claiming to be a Christian is not enough, we must also be surrendered and committed. The lord requires a changed and committed heart.
(A) pplication:
Lord, let all I do today come from the depth and richness of my love and commitment to you. If I am not a true follower then all my actions are just wood, hay and stubble that will simply be burned away and have no eternal value. I do not want to be a hypocrite, I want to be genuine and follow you completely.
(P) rayer:
Lord I love you. When I have just been performing, forgive me. Let all I do come from the overflow of my relationship with you. Thank you for saving me and changing my life. Let me share that with others today. Amen
